Mike brings a personal touch to all projects and ensures he is very hands-on and professional in dealing with all clients, big or small. He is always committed to ensuring that his wealth of experience and knowledge, is passed down through the workforce.

Material purchaser - Keith Twaddell

Keith Twaddell (Estimator/Purchaser)

Keith has a breadth of experience within the building trade: joinery, estimating, surveying, purchasing materials, budgets and valuations. Day to day, he deals with all material purchasing and deliveries, as well as having an extremely hands-on approach to the tender stages of projects.

Ellen Bowden (Office Manager)

Ellen has worked with Mike since the company was formed back in 2004, and is imperative to the company in her role.  She has a great working relationship with all suppliers and contacts and strives to be as involved with as much of the works as possible, to give her a clear understanding for invoicing and cost control.

Construction manager -Barrie Chiverton

Expertise:

Barrie is a qualified Civil Engineering and manages our wide portfolio of contracts, varying from large hydro schemes to small drainage repairs. Day to day, he works with all types of client, including private, householders and government bodies. Barrie has extensive experience of all civil engineering works, having been heavily involved in many projects for over 20 years, joining MAM Contracting in 2011.

  • Dealing with third party issues to minimise disruption to production
  • Monitoring cost control to highlight variances in advance
  • Ensuring Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to

  • Managing environmental issues, particularly in sensitive areas of construction

Graham Abernethy Jnr (Site Manager)

Throughout Graham's construction career he has gained extensive experience in all aspects of groundworks. Starting in construction, he steadily advanced through the ranks, serving as a supervisor and foreman, and eventually became an on-site manager.

Today, Graham manages various projects on behalf of MAM, all of which are located throughout Scotland. These include civil engineering, building, and housing projects. His expertise includes drain laying, concreting works, kerbing, and earthworks, to name but a few. 

Graham's experience spans a wide range of projects, including large and small electric hydro schemes, repair and landscaping for Perth & Kinross Council, maintenance and repair works for SEPA, and bridge construction and road upgrades for the Forestry Commission.

He is experienced, reliable, enthusiastic, and above all, a great team player and a valuable asset to the MAM family.
