Path Construction & Bridge Repairs In Speyside, Scotland

We are delighted to be working for Moray Council again, this time upgrading the Speyside Way path. One of Scotland’s most famous long-distance walking routes, we’re proud to be improving the network of pathways for locals and visitors alike.

The project is located in Speyside, the biggest whisky-producing region in Scotland. This makes the area a hotspot for tourists looking to try some top-quality whisky from the world-famous distilleries; indeed, people come from all over the world to sample these local delights. Speyside is in the North East of Scotland, situated around the River Spey. The area offers many outdoor activities, such as cycling and rafting, making it an excellent spot for families.

The Speyside Way is undoubtedly another big draw of the area. It’s one of the four official Long Distance Routes in Scotland - the others being the West Highland Way, the Southern Upland Way and the Great Glen Way. Conquering this historic walk is a must for keen hikers, and it boasts fantastic and diverse views and experiences, depending on the route you choose. For example, there are seven waymarked woodland trails where you’ll discover the riverside and local wildlife. Other trails provide outstanding views of the river and woodlands.

As you can see from our photos, our works include resurfacing a 10km stretch of new paths and upgrading existing routes. Everyone should enjoy the Speyside Way, and renovating and updating pathways will make the area more accessible to all.

We will also be carrying out bridge repairs, again increasing accessibility, safety and aesthetics.
