Completion of Moatmill Temporary Access Bridge

Completion of Moatmill Temporary Access Bridge

Our team have recently completed a contract in Tealing, near Dundee. We were employed by SSE to design and install a new bridge crossing over the Tealing Burn, in order that the new transformers can be transported to the substation.  The substation is currently undergoing a large expansion, enabling it to bring the power from the new Off-shore Windfarm and putting it into the main grid.

MAM Contracting have delivered the project within the programme and budget, despite dealing with COVID-19 restrictions and winter working.  The works had highly sensitive environmental constraints as well as working along side an extremely busy access road to the main substation site, but MAM are happy to report there were no incidents throughout.  Credit to all our workforce who have worked on the project over the past few months.

As always, MAM Contracting couldn't have completed this contract without the help of our extended teams.  For this project we thank Campbell of Doune (Design), Beaver Bridges (Bridge Hire/Installation) and Breedon Contracting (Surfacing).

Contact us if you would like to have the same great bridge construction and paving work done for your next project.
